This compilation contains radio snippets collected during the worldwide lock-down caused by covid-19, between March and May 2020. You will hear a radio collage of 10 second intertwined blocks of chaotic, cacophonous and discordant sounds from the four corners of the planet: the evil virus named in more than 20 different languages, medical advice, governments reporting the daily numbers of deceased consumers, innovative advertisement targeting the emerging healthcare and home-office markets, the free-fall of the stock-markets, religious illumination and helpless prayers, exciting jingles, technical comments on the new surveillance smartphone APPs and above all a large portion of incomprehensible commentary made in languages alien to the compiler; but also samples of the ubiquitous low quality music that was not filtered in order to add a dose of reality to these strange times - after all, Mankind is yet to be extinguished, and if you listen carefully you might even catch a good sound.
The compiler affirms the contemporaneity of the project by relying on the internet radio (the excellent platform radio.garden) rather than on the airwaves, due to the need to outpace the virus spread.
